Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church
Serving Orthodox Christians in Sioux Falls and the Surrounding Area

Schedule of Services

Sunday Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00 a.m., preceded by Orthros at 9:00 a.m.

Great Vespers is served at 5:00 p.m. each Saturday.

On Feast Days, Divine Liturgy begins at 8:00 a.m. (weekdays) or 9:00 a.m. (Saturdays), preceded by Orthros at 7:00 a.m. (weekdays) or 8:00 a.m. (Saturdays). Great Vespers or All-Night Vigil is sometimes served on the eve of feast days.

Like most parishes of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, we follow the new (Revised Julian) calendar. This means that we celebrate the non-moveable feasts (such as the Lord's Nativity) thirteen days before the churches that follow the old (Julian) calendar. However, we celebrate Holy Pascha (and the moveable feasts dependent on Pascha, such as Ascension and Pentecost) together with all other Orthodox Christians.

Please consult the parish calendar to see when services are scheduled for a particular feast day.
